It was Broome's Inaugural Fly Fishing Tournament for Sailfish and we were fishing for Sydney Fly Rodders, apart from a few international entrants it was virtually a State of Origin Series with a couple of extra states thrown in. As luck would have it Sydney was in the right state. We were fortunate to have on board in our quest, good mates Dennis "Brazakka" Wallace, a recent inductee into The Marlin Hall of Fame and Paul B Kidd, a well known fishing journalist/editor and identity in Sydney Gamefishing circles.
