Not only do sailfish patrol the drop offs, but also the very shallow waters at Scott Reef, we've actually seen them herd bait in close to the shore before dispatching it. Hence its no surprise when you encounter them fishing for other species with other rigs. They're likely to turn up anywhere around this reef system, a few of us hooked them up on baitcasters, until we were spooled that is, about 3 seconds later.
