Who would ever think that one of the greatest predator of the sea would become food for another. Well, in this case, yes, as a giant octopus takes in his catch of the day a 4 foot shark.
While fighting a 70lb tarpon, a 14 foot long hammerhead shark hits the tarpon several times. We land the tarpon, get a clean release and make every effort to hide the tarpon from the shark.
Ultimately, the tarpon gets nailed just feet from the boat after the release. Thinking it was over, I notice the remains floating on the surface sever yards away. I collect a 35lb head and torso for
documentation and the shark returns and rams the boat. Seconds later, it returns again in a full blown surprise attack and takes the remains from our hands in the most impressive show I have ever
seen. Corey gets a last minute tail grab as the shark sinks away with its dinner. It is hard to believe this video is real.
